What a cool opportunity! I say go for it. The director wouldn't have asked you if she didn't think you were capable. Se trusts you - and I think that says a lot. Formal training isn't everything. I think you've got tthe innate musicianship in you to do it. Go for it! It sounds like fun. Good luck!
