Poltical.....
I don't want to get political but does anyone else think Stephanie Myers is being a bit whiny when she stops work on her 5th novel in the Twilight series because somebody leaked an unfinished manuscript onto the web and she feels sad about it?

I'm actually afraid most of my derision that is focused on her and her books comes mostly from the bitterness thing. Not that I write books or anything but one of my best friends does and at least the one short story I read was head and shoulders better than the five pages of Twilight I read. GRRRRR

I haven't sampled Twilight, but I've read a couple of interviews with her and she comes across as the sort of person you and I both know all too well, the sheltered Utahn who is unprepared for the harsh realities that exist beyond the Zion Curtain. "What, you mean I'm so popular that people will download an unfinished draft of my latest book? And that one of my so-called friends is unscrupulous enough to post that draft to the interwebs, where anybody can see it? But that's not right. In fact, it's so not right that I'm going to get up on my high horse and not write another word, because that'll show 'em!" Sheesh, lady, you ought to be grateful you're popular enough to bootleg in the first place. If you're lucky, your publisher won't sue to get the advance back...
